Asatru Wicca vs. Osiris
The difference between the two religions is large enough. The practitioner is not a wiccan. It will, adopt its own form. The practitioner will be called male "Gothic", the woman will be "gythia. Each person has his own notion of its role and the rituals and ceremonies are completely different and are administered by the kindred.
beliefs and practices of this tradition is defined by loyalty personal, "Troth", to the gods and goddesses such Nordic Odin, Thor, Frigga, and towards spirits, "Wight". Any place in both the northern culture, Scandinavian, Norse and Germanic and a strong determination to practice the moral lives every practitioner.
knowledge of the gods and the Nordic cosmogony, unlike Wicca, is the study of the main sources of tradition. The Gothic explores the pros Edda, Edda, Poetic Edda, the Norse sagas, historical sources and traditional folklore. He also studied science, like history, anthropology, linguistics and archeology. Its own analysis of his thoughts, the practitioner will hold a deep knowledge of tradition. The Gothic work with the gods, as kin, a term that might be akin to "like", "similar", "race". Walking along this path, it contributes to its human condition improves, develops in this world, and he opposes any morbid way, to be all bad like Thurs, or Jotun, which are actually giants. These were as symbolic representations, the task of destroying, disordered world.
Like most pagans, practitioners of Asatru are polytheistic and consider the gods as real entities, with distinct personalities and unique. Sometimes, some of them focuses on a single entity, such as Odin. (In this case, we call them Odinist.)
Magical practices are not a part of this cult. In fact, most practitioners of this tradition does not believe in magic. However, some practices a kind of magic, such as runology, thus developing another facet of this tradition. These are then Ásatrúar Vitka, runic magicians. This is however different religious supplement of Asatru.
