Calendar of festivals Asatruar
Some popular festivals of Asatru. During the ceremony, several put runes on the altar, emphasize the importance and symbolism of the festival.
Þorrablót
January 18: This festival is still active in Iceland. It is the sacred festival of Thor. Blot is a kind of offering food and drink is the god. You could say a sort of thanksgiving ritual is in honor of a god. At this celebration, we thank Thor for his protection and assistance during the year.
Barri
February 2: This is the day we celebrate Frey and Gerd, a symbolic marriage of the god of fertility with Mother Earth. It is a fertility festival, where the planting of seeds begins (Semi). It's time to start, prepare, plan the upcoming season. It also

Feast of Vali

Sumarsday / Sigrblot

Winterfilt / Yuletide / Mother Night

Runes of the festival are 'Elhaz, Jera and isa'.
